Beauty Sector has strong online sales

Strong online sales makes sense for the beauty sector because women typically use the same beauty products throughout their life. For example, if a woman always use the same brand and type of face wash, she will probably purchase it again and again. Ordering online saves you a trip to the store and most stores periodically (or always) offer free shipping. If I am considering changing products, online reviews are always nice because they give you customer's honest opinions about the product. In store, you only get the commisioned sales person's point of view.

It doesn't surprise me at all that the beauty sector shows strong online sales. Typically, women choose a certain beauty product and stick with it; for example, if a women grows to love a certain face wash, she will probably use it for years to come. Shopping online saves a trip to the store and fortunately, most stores offer free shipping occasionally or permanently. Therefore, there is no reason to go to the store to sample or ask questions. Also, the online reviews are particularly helpful when shopping for makeup or face regimens online because you get real reviews from real women, unlike what you may get from the commissioned sales person in store.

I am a web consultant by profession and the number one thing I need to repeat to clients is optimize your site for mobile, particularly iOS. I typically see half off of all traffic coming from mobile devices, that vast majority of which use iOS. If a company is still using flash or other non-optimal designs, they are missing out on a huge segment of customer.
