This really exapnds on the fact that technology is such a powerful market to promote. Facebooks and Twitters can be accesed with all kinds of technology which makes it more available to a larger percentage of people. This could be such a powerful tool.
After reading this a couple things really grabbed my attention. First, I was surprised that only 54% of people use Facebook on their phones. I sold cell phones for a few months and Facebook was consistently an app that people asked me to help them download or sync their contacts with. So many people rely on Facebook for phone numbers that that percentage seems low to me. This just goes to show, perhaps, that here in Kansas City people may be using their phones differently then people do else where. Secondly, I'm not surprised that Twitter is gaining more new users than Facebook. Out of my friends, Facebook is more common therefore allowing Twitter for more growth.

Out of the 10 statistics, I fall into 7.
